The Employment Creation/Investor visa, also known as the EB-5 visa, is an immigrant visa that allows foreign nationals to obtain lawful permanent residence
in the United States by making a significant investment in a new commercial enterprise that creates jobs for U.S. workers.
To be eligible for an EB-5 visa, the foreign national must invest at least $1.8 million
in a new commercial enterprise in the United States that creates at least 10 full-time jobs for U.S. workers within two years.
The investment may be in the form of cash, equipment, inventory, or other tangible property.
